History of development
Affresco production is certified to compliance with the international standard ISO 9001:2008.
Affresco was founded in 2002 as an art studio which offered services of wall painting and interior decoration with decorative plaster. Company founders are talented artists with the fine taste and a sense of style. The earnest of success became an individual approach to each interior and unique solutions which the artists would offer to decorate walls and furniture. “One cannot replicate something which contains a feeling. Success can be reached only in the business you like” – this is the approach chosen by Affresco at the moment of foundation and the company is being guided by it yet. Within the first two years of operation the company decorated over 500 projects and was awarded by the Government of the city of Moscow for merits in the sphere of dècor.
In 2003 the company invented decorative coating with the effect of cracks which became the basis for production of Affresco’s digital frescos. In 2007 the technology was patented and “Craquelure” material became the company’s business card. To date, Affresco presents at the market 12 various materials for fresco manufacturing. As compared to Italian frescos Affresco’s ones have an unlimited size of image, lower price and a short manufacturing period. These advantages have been evaluated by the Russian residents and Europeans and Americans, as well.
Affresco’s special pride is the collection of images for fresco manufacturing which includes over 10,000 subjects of various styles. The company has been working for a long time in the sphere of interior decorating and offers to its clients only the subjects which will decorate interiors and will become their special thrill. Ornaments and ceiling will stress the main lines of interior, frescos for bedrooms will add romanticism, landscapes will visually enlarge the room. Professional artists and company designers work over creation of the collection. All the images are of perfect quality which allows fabricating a fresco of any size, at the same time preserving the clearness of lines and accuracy of colour reproduction.
Since 2009 Affresco started manufacturing hand-made wallpapers which are fabricated according to fresco manufacturing technology. Now you can appreciate already five collections of exclusive wallpapers: «Modern Series», «Infinito», «Infinito Colore» and «Hermitage» as well as the newest development of 2011 – “Prado” decorative panels.
In 2010 the assortment presented by Affresco was added with hand-made pictures. To date we are presenting to your attention three collections of pictures: «Affresco», «World Art», «Photo Art». Picture texture may vary widely: with relief of porcelain cracks «Patina», «Patina Gold» with golden cracks, «Patina Silver» with silver cracks and «Velatura» - a coating with slightly rough relief surface accompanied by the effect of brush touches performed with a big artist’s brush.
In 2011 the company issued a new catalogue “Affresco Golden collection” – the comprehensive range of products fabricated by Affresco. “Affresco Golden collection” comprises catalogues of frescos, wallpapers and pictures.
Another new development of 2011 – a catalogue of thematic wallpapers «Modern Series», in which there are represented the most fashionable and actual themes performed in various artistic styles on the principle (or as) of compound module panels.

The proof for high quality of the products manufactured has become successful attestation to qualification tests and Affresco’s receipt of ISO 9001:2008 (ГОСТ Р ИСО 9001-2008) compliance certificate in autumn, 2010. This certificate proves compliance of company’s manufacturing process organisation with ISO international standards which ensures confidence of clients and partners in constantly high quality level of our products.
All pictures from Affresco catalogue have been created by our artists which allows gaining of the maximum quality of the image at fresco manufacturing.
Further, a layer of texture is applied to the nonwoven fabric becoming the basis of the future fresco.
All the details on the already performed fresco are refined by the artist.
The ready-made fresco is coated with protective matt lacquer which makes the fresco moisture-proof and UV-resistant.
At manufacture of fresco on «Craquelure» texture at the final stage the craftsman smoothes cracks out with marble chips due to which the fresco acquires the appearance of the ancient canvas.
At fabrication of frescos and wallpapers special attention is paid to products quality. At fabrication of frescos and wallpapers there are used only environmentally friendly materials during manufacture of which SNiP (National Construction Rules and Regulations) and fire safety regulations are complied with which is essential for interior decoration. Products quality control is performed at all stages of fresco manufacture: from image creation to coating fresco with protective lacquer and packing it into tube. Notwithstanding the constantly increasing production volume, each customer may count on irreproachable servicing and individual approach.
«Affresco» informational activities
Since 2007 Affresco has been proactively participating in popular interior and construction exhibitions, annually presenting to visitors’ attention new ideas and materials for interior décor. Through its dealers Affresco’s products are represented at the leading regional construction and interior related exhibitions; as well, jointly with its partners the company hosts trainings, workshops in many Russian regions. Only during 2009 there were held over 100 trainings and workshops in Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Ufa, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, etc.
Besides, Affresco has been proactively developing its own distribution network of outlets. Currently, the company has six outlets in Moscow and one in St. Petersburg. In each outlet one can find the comprehensive product range which is renewed on a regular basis. Apart from commercial activities Affresco enjoys participating in charity projects. Practice demonstrated that Affresco’s frescos are applicable not only in private interiors, but in decorating Churches as well, having a number of advantages as compared to hand-made wall painting. The frescos are moisture-resistant; they are not subject to ageing and are easily washed of soot which resides on church domes due to constantly burning candles. Jointly with church vergers company’s artists thoroughly renovate lost wall painting acting as to-date Michelangelos. After which these images as digital frescos are mounted into church halls.
The company’s plans are to go on with participating in charity projects. Having in mind that country’s biggest treasure is in the growing generation, Affresco is intended to help orphanages in Moscow and regions of Russia by decorating play rooms, bedrooms and assembly halls with picturesque frescos.
